League of Legends’ series of 2020 events continues with the freshly launched Galaxies 2020 Duty or Ambition Event which introduces new missions, skins and rewards for players to pursue.
The Galaxies 2020 Duty or Ambition Event went live on March 26 at 1 PM PT/8 PM GMT, its end date being set for April 27 at 11:59 PM PT/ 6 AM GMT.
League of Legends Galaxies 2020 Duty or Ambition Event
League of Legends’ Galaxies 2020 Duty or Ambition event introduces the Galaxies Pass which costs 1650 RP.
Players who purchase the pass will have access to a set of milestone missions, 200 Galaxies 2020 Tokens and 4 Galaxies 2020 Orbs.
Each Galaxies Orb contains 1 random skin shard and has a 4% chance to drop a Galaxies Grab Bag. Grab Bags contain one shard from each tier while also multiplying your Gemstone and Mythic Skin permanent drop rates by 1.5. Three loot bundles will be available during the event:
- 1 Galaxies Orb + 16 Galaxies Tokens - 250 RP
- 10 Galaxies Orbs + 1 Bonus Orb + 160 Galaxies Tokens - 2500 RP
- 25 Galaxies Orbs + 1 Galaxies Grab Bag + 400 Galaxies Tokens - 6250 RP
If you’ve more RP to spend, you can opt for the Galaxies Pass Bundle. Priced at 2650 RP, it contains everything in the Galaxies Pass, alongside the Dark Star Malphite Skin and the Shard of the Monolith icon and border.

League of Legends’ Galaxies 2020 Duty or Ambition event also comes with a story focusing on Lux. Upon logging in, players will be required to make a choice between having Lux continue doing her duty as the Lady of Luminosity or letting her give into ambition, pursuing darkness instead.
One of two Lux borders (Cosmic or Dark Cosmic) will unlock at the conclusion of the event, depending on player engagement, the outcome also altering Lux’s lore.
Players not willing to wait can obtain both borders, Lux and her Cosmic and Dark Cosmic skins by purchasing the Galaxies 2020 Lux Border Set for 3906 RP. Lux owners can purchase the bundle for the cheaper cost of 3511 RP.
Below, you’ll find the full list of Cosmic Duty and Dark Ambition missions available for all players hopping into League of Legends during its Galaxies 2020 event. Every mission rewards 12 Tokens, which can be spent until May 12th, 2020 at 1 PM PT/ 8 PM GMT.

- Silence the Screaming Dark - As a team, destroy the First Tower in 2 games/Play 7 games
- Quantum State: Collapsing - Win a game of One for All/Play 3 games
- The Allure of Power - Get 15 Kills/Play 7 games
- The Serenity of Duty - Win 2 games with a Crowd Control score of 20 or more/Play 7 games
- The Queen of Extinction - Win a game as Lux with more than 20000 damage dealt to champions/Play 7 games
- The Queen of Genesis - Win a game as Lux with Crowd Control Score over 35/Play 7 games
As far as skins go, the Galaxies 2020 Duty or Ambition Event adds two new legendary skins for Lux – Cosmic Lux and Dark Cosmic Lux –, both purchasable for 1820 RP.
Players will also be able to purchase the Dark Star Malphite, Mordekaiser and Xerath skins alongside the Talon Blackwood, Taric Luminshield and Twitch Shadowfoot skins for 1350 RP each.
The above skins also come with Chromas, available for 290 RP each, alongside border sets available in variants both with and without their associated champions.
