Here’s where we’ll explain everything that’s changing and being added with League of Legends Patch 11.6. League’s Patch 11.6 has now made its way to live servers for the usual two-week round of testing. A look at its patch notes reveals the release date alongside the addition of new Battle Academia skins.
As reflected in its patch schedule, LoL Patch 11.6’s release date was set for Wednesday, March 17, which is when the changes that made it through testing hit live servers.
League of Legends Patch 11.6 comes with a set of six new Battle Academia skins. These include Battle Academia Caitlyn (1820 RP), Battle Academia Garen, Battle Academia Leona, Battle Academia Leona Prestige Edition (100 Prestige Points), Battle Academia Wukong, and Battle Academia Yone (1350 RP). League of Legends Patch 11.6
The LoL 11.6 maintenance schedule is always revealed closer to launch. Usually, it takes about 3 hours for patches to be deployed. Checking our League of Legends Server Status article is a good way to keep yourself informed on server downtime caused by patch deployment or other reasons.
Xin Zhao is getting a set of changes that aim to both increase his power and make playing him more satisfying than it currently is.

A handful of items are also having their healing capabilities reduced in LoL Patch 11.6.

League’s 11.6 patch was off to a slower start in terms of balance changes, but quite a few have since gone live, as spotted by Surrender at 20.
LoL 11.6 Champion Balance Changes
Akali - Changed
Stats:
- Health decreased to 500 from 575
- Health growth increased to 105 from 95</ul>
Assassin's Mark (Passive):
- No longer restores 10/15/20 energy
Five Point Strike (Q):
- Energy cost changed to 130/115/100/85/70 from 120/115/110/105/100
- No longer deals 25% bonus magic damage to minions & monsters at max rank
Twilight Shroud (W):
- New: Now increases Akali’s maximum energy by 80 (and still restores 80 energy)
Shuriken Flip (E):
- Total Damage changed to 100/187.5/275/362.5/450 (+85% AD) (+120% AP) from 100/170/240/310/380 (+70% AD) (+100% AP)
- Damage split between first and second hit changed to 30% of the total damage, 70% of the total damage from 50% of the total damage, 50% of the total damage

Frenzied Maul (W):
- Healing from Wounded monsters is no longer halved (still reduced against minions)
Sky Splitter (E):
- Damage cap changed to 750 at all ranks from 150/300/450/600/750
Xin Zhao - Changed
Determination (Passive):
- Heal amount decreased to 7-92 (levels 1-18) from 10-112 (levels 1-18)
- Heal ratio changed to 55% AP from 40% AP
Three Talon Strike (Q):
- Bonus physical damage decreased to 16/25/34/43/52 from 20/28/36/44/52
Wind Becomes Lightning (W):
- Thrust damage ratio now 50% AP
- Thrust damage increases up to 33% based on Critical Strike Chance
- Cast time now a static 0.5s, instead of scaling with Attack Speed
- Mana cost increased to 60 from 45
- W2 range increased to 1000 from 900
- Hitbox now extends slightly behind Xin Zhao for visual clarity
- Cooldown decreased to 12/10.5/9/7.5/6 from 12/11/10/9/8
- Thrust now Challenges Champions/Monsters and provides vision of the target for 3 seconds
- Deals 50%-0% (levels 1-16) damage to minions
Audacious Charge (E):
- Cast range increased to 1100 on Challenged targets
Crescent Guard (R):
- Damage ratio changed to 100% AD, 110% AP from 100% AD
LoL 11.6 Item Balance Changes
Blade of the Ruined King
- Lifesteal decreased to 10% from 12%
- Siphon damage changed to 40-150 (levels 1-18) from 40-120 (levels 1-18) </ul>
Immortal Shieldbow
- Lifesteal decreased to 10% from 12%
- Immortal Shieldbow now grants 13-35 AD when triggered
- Shield amount increased to 300-800 from 250-700
- Immortal Shieldbow no longer grants 15% lifesteal for 8 seconds
Ironspike Whip
- Total cost decreased to 1100 from 1200
- Cooldown increased to 20 seconds from 15 seconds
Liandry's Anguish
- Liandry’s now grants up to 12% bonus magic damage to champions based on their bonus health (maximum 1250 bonus health)
- Liandry’s no longer grants 5% magic penetration per second against burning targets
Luden's Tempest
- Dealing ability damage to an enemy champion now also reduces Echo’s cooldown by 0.5 seconds (up to 3 seconds per ability)
Rabadon's Deathcap
- Cost decreased to 3600 from 3800
Seeker's Armguard
- Armor per kill decreased to 0.5 from 1
- Max decreased to 15 from 30
Shurelya's Battlesong
- Inspire active cooldown decreased to 75 seconds form 90 seconds
Sterak's Gage
- After dealing damage to or taking damage from an enemy champion, the first stack heals you for 2% for melee | 1.2% for ranged of maximum health, decreasing by 50% per stack afterwards, over 6 seconds.
- Fixed a bug where Sterak's Gage's Bloodlust passive would not heal the user for each champion they were in combat with
Stridebreaker
- Health decreased to 200 from 300
Sunfire Aegis
- Ability haste increased to 20 from 15
- Immolate subsequent damage increased to 12% per second, up to 10% per second, up to 60%
Verdant Barrier
- MR per kill decreased to 0.3 from 0.5
- Max decreased to 9 from 15
- AP decreased to 20 from 25
Void Staff
- AP increased to 70 from 65
- Combine cost increased to 600 from 400

- Heal ratio decreased to 20% AP from 30% AP
Ravenous Hunter
- Omnivamp decreased to 1.5% per stack from 1.7% per stack
- Ravenous Hunter no longer has a base of 1% omnivamp

Bugfixes/QoL Changes
- LEAGUE CLIENT: Rewrote the code that was responsible for constantly alerting players with multiple Key Fragment notifications (we'll also be keeping a close eye on it)
- LEAGUE CLIENT: Fixed a player presence data issue where people in your lobby would not appear as Online and/or would not update when a player changed their Summoner Icon
- LEAGUE CLIENT: Fixed Honor rewards image sizes
- LEAGUE CLIENT: Fixed the missing images for some Missions tooltips
- LEAGUE CLIENT: Players can now turn off Collection tab notifications for newly acquired content via Settings
- Fixed the formatting and vocabulary in Teleport's tooltip
- Kassadin's W - Netherblade now properly grants mana stacks from Tear of the Goddess
- Serpent's Fang's Shield Reaver no longer applies to minions and turrets
- Fixed a bug where Samira's W - Blade Whirl's second attack would sometimes not inflict damage
- Fixed a bug where Banshee's Veil's Annul passive cooldown would not display in the player's inventory
- Fixed two bugs where attacks from Urgot's W - Purge and Lucian's P - Lightslinger did not count as unique attack instances for Manamune stacking, Muramana on-hit, Runaan's Hurricane, and Ravenous Hydra
- Fixed a bug where Ornn's Syzygy's Ever Rising Moon passive would not go on cooldown as long as he was basic attacking with Black Cleaver in his inventory
- Fixed a bug where Muramana's on-hit effects would not be applied every third attack when the player has Guinsoo's Rageblade
- Shyana now properly gains additional Fury generation from Cloud Dragons and Cloud Souls
- Fixed a bug where right-clicking a Long Sword in Noonquiver's build path within Immortal Shieldbow, Galeforce, or Kraken Slayer's build paths would make you unintentionally purchase the Dagger next to it instead
- Anivia's R - Glacial Storm no longer toggles off when using Hextech Rocketbelt
- Fixed a bug where Daisy's 3rd AoE attack was accidentally using Ivern's AD instead of Daisy's AD
