LoL patch 12.21 is now available for all players. A look at its patch notes reveals its release date alongside the addition of new top lane tank K’Sante, the Pride of Nazumah, skins from the Empyrean line, and more.
Riot Games pushes out regular updates for its popular MOBA, and having a patch schedule nearby is necessary to keep track of when the next one’s due out. The LoL patch 12.21 release date wa set for Wednesday, November 2, which is when the changes that make it through testing hit live servers.
League of Legends Patch 12.21
On the PBE, players could try out the following 9 new skins: Empyrean K’Sante (1350 RP), Prestige Empyrean K’Sante (2000 Worlds 2022 tokens), Empyrean Jax (1350 RP), Empyrean Jhin (1350 RP), Empyrean Lux (1350 RP), Empyrean Pyke (1820 RP), Empyrean Vex (1350 RP), Empyrean Zac (1350 RP), and Empyrean Zed (1350 RP).
The LoL 12.21 maintenance schedule is always revealed closer to launch. Usually, it takes about 3 hours for patches to be deployed across different regions. K'Sante, the Pride of Nazumah
League 12.21 also introduces K’Sante, the Pride of Nazumah as a new playable champion. He joins the MOBA’s growing roster as a top lane tank. These are his abilities, as shared by the developer.
Dauntless Instinct (Passive)
- K’Sante’s damaging abilities mark enemies for a short duration. Attacking a marked enemy consumes the mark to deal damage plus max health physical damage.
- All Out: Attacking a marked enemy instead deals physical damage and additional max health true damage. </ul>
- K’Sante slams his weapon, dealing physical damage and briefly Slowing targets hit. If an enemy is hit, K’Sante gains a stack for a short duration. At two stacks, K’Sante instead fires a shockwave that pulls enemies
- All Out: This ability’s cooldown is reduced and no longer slows </ul>
- Begin Charging: K’Sante raises his weapons defensively for a short duration becoming Unstoppable, and reducing incoming damage.
- Release: K’Sante rams forward, dealing a percentage of max health physical damage, Knocking Back, and Stunning enemies he passes through for a short duration based on charge time.
- All Out: This ability’s cooldown is refreshed, damage taken reduction is increased, deals an additional amount of physical damage based on charge time, and the charge and dash speed are doubled. </ul>
- K’Sante dashes, gaining a shield for a short duration. If dashing to an ally, the distance is significantly increased and they are also Shielded. Other abilities can be cast during Footwork.
- All Out: This ability’s dash speed is increased. Dashing to a targeted location has increased range and can go over walls. </ul>
- K’Sante shatters his tonfas, dealing physical damage and Knocking Back an enemy champion. Enemies that hit a wall will instead take a greater amount of physical damage, are Knocked Back over the wall, and are briefly Stunned. K’Sante then dashes after the enemy and goes All Out for an extended duration.
- All Out: K’Sante loses a percentage of max health, bonus armor, and bonus magic resistance. K’Sante gains attack damage, omnivamp, and transforms his abilities. </ul>
- Mana cost decreased to 55/65/75/85/95 from 60/70/80/90/100
- Damage per pass through increased to 40/65/90/115/140 (+45% AP) from 40/65/90/115/140 (+40% AP)
- Cooldown increased to 24/22.5/21/19.5/18 seconds from 22/20.5/19/17.5/16 seconds
- Remora health decreased to 40/50/60% of minion’s maximum health of minion health from 50/60/70%
- Base health decreased to 635 from 653
- Armor decreased to 28 from 32
- Bonus attack speed decreased to 30/43/56/69/82% from 40/53/66/79/92%
- Health growth increased to 105 from 101
- AD growth increased to 2.8 from 2.5
- Now executes minions below 15 - 45 health (levels 1-11)
- Slow changed to 40% (+6% per 100 AP) from 50% (+4% per 100 AP)
- Magic damage increased to 70/100/130/160/190 (+120% AP) from 70/100/130/160/190 (+100% AP)
- Damage per wave increased to 75% AD + 25% AP from 75% AD + 20% AP
- Maximum slow changed to 60% at all ranks from 40/50/60%
- Third hit bonus damage increased to 15/30/45/60% AD total AD from 15/25/35/45% AD total AD
- Heal increased to 6-74 (based on level) (+10% AD) (+65% AP) from 6-74 (based on level) (+10% AD) (+55% AP)
- Cooldown decreased to 11 seconds from 12 seconds
- Fixed a bug where champion clones would not receive increased damage from consecutive turret shots
- Fixed a bug where Syndra’s E would not do damage to Epic Monsters other than Rift Herald
- Fixed a bug where Syndra’s E could damage Gwen inside of her own W
- Fixed a bug where Viego, in Syndra form, would not release units picked up with her W after stopping possession of Syndra
- Fixed a bug where Nilah’s Q passive shield duration did not match the ability tooltip
- Fixed a bug where Mordekaiser’s E VFX would sometimes play twice per cast
- Fixed a bug where Yuumi’s W adaptive force buff would disappear on allies affected by specific debuffs
- Fixed a bug where enemies hit by Rakan’s R + W combo would be able to use items and abilities while airborne
- Fixed a bug where Darius’ R would sometimes not reset its cooldown if a target died a moment before taking damage
- Removed the “Show Enemy Information Tooltips” option from the game (note: we removed this functionality years ago, but are finally turning off the option, which, did nothing)
