Out for a while now, Mafia: Definitive Edition has already received its first set of mods that bring small but useful tweaks to the action-adventure game.
Even with the absence of official mod support making bigger mods difficult to pull off, fans have still managed to slightly improve Mafia: Definitive Edition’s launch verison.
To that effect, the most straightforward mod of the game’s initial offering gets rid of the pesky intro splash screen that players have to watch every time they boot up the game.
Mafia: Definitive Edition Mods
Another small mod adds more realistic gunfights to Mafia: Definitive Edition. It not only makes headshots lethal, but as few as two shots to the torso can take down both the player and NPCs.
The True Vision mod adjusts the game’s visuals, making for a moodier atmosphere across Lost Heaven.
The Change Weather mod also lets you alter the city’s mood by choosing one of more than 100 weather templates.
If you’d like to replace Tommy Angelo with a different character, including the sequel’s Vito Scaletta, Mafia: Definitive Edition’s Character Changer mod lets you do just that.
Alternatively, you could opt to bring show Lost Heaven who’s boss as Joker.
Lastly, the Spawn Vehicles mod ensures you’ll always have a ride at your disposal while also making it easy to complete the game’s Carcylopedia.
