Manor Lords is poised to be a breakout hit on Steam this year, with over 2 million people adding it to their wishlist. This surge in interest has propelled it to the top wishlisted game on Steam, overtaking titles like Hades 2 and Hollow Knight: Silksong. As its release date approaches April 26th, many might wonder about the roadmap and content plans for 2024.
Solo developer Slavic Magic, aka Greg Styczeń, isn’t looking to release a roadmap any time soon, since he doesn’t want to promise content or features that may get delayed or take longer than originally revealed, but has offered a few details on what we should expect within the first few months of early access.
Roadmap plans for Manor Lords in 2024 and beyond
The first few months of early access will see the first phase of patches released that help iron out bugs reported by the community for Manor Lords, and then polishing and balancing combat and the economy system while you continue plotting out road networks and building your defenses to repel barbarian raiders and other invading lords.
“During that time, together with Hooded Horse, we’ll be collecting your feedback and then prioritizing work based on what we hear.” said Styczeń in a developer blog on Steam.
Styczeń plans to have an open beta or PTR-type system where players can test out future patches behind closed doors and contribute with feedback and suggestions on improving them. Gathering feedback from the community has worked well so far, and Styczeń wants this process to continue.
“As always, thanks for following and all the support. I’ll certainly keep the updates more frequent here once the early access officially starts,” he concluded.
The full roadmap will be published later, and we will keep you updated on any content plans that get revealed in 2024. Still, no word on a PlayStation 5 release. It will come to Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass soon.
Manor Lords can be found on Steam, when it releases into early access on the 26th April. You can find our impressions of the early access build here.
