MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is now out, letting players manage their own mercenary company and wreak havoc from the cockpits of various giant ‘Mechs. But does the game feature a co-op campaign?
Blasting away at mechanized opponents is significantly less lonely when you’ve one or more friends joining you in co-op mode. Thankfully, MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries does let you play alongside others.
MechWarrior 5 Co-op Campaign
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries features four-player PvE co-op support. What that means is that you can get up to three other friends or internet strangers with mercenary interests to join you in your battles.
Thus, online co-op waits should you encounter missions where you’d need a bit more coordination than you can ask of MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries’ AI.
Sadly, it looks like local co-op isn’t part of what MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries has to offer, so you’ll have to team up over the internet rather than gather everyone on your couch, should you feel like tearing ‘Mechs to pieces alongside other players.
