Metro Exodus is set to come out tomorrow as an Epic Games Store exclusive, but since a fair number of buyers pre-purchased the game on Steam, the game will be out there, too, though not available for further sales. At least Steam buyers can pre-load, we suppose.
Metro Exodus digital unlock times have thus now been revealed, and good news is that Steam buyers will apparently not receive a stunted release in any way, shape, or form when it comes to when, exactly, the game is out. Look down below for a precise listing of when Exodus is coming out.
According to the official Metro Exodus Twitter account (posted via TwitLonger), the game will be coming out simultaneously, at a fixed time worldwide: midnight EST, on Friday, 15th of February. Curiously enough, this is not the case with consoles, which receive unlocks on a rolling basis.
Either way, PC unlock times are the following:
US (West Coast) - 21.00 PST, Thursday 14th Feb
UK - 05.00 GMT, Friday 15th Feb
Europe - 06.00 CET, Friday 15th Feb
Russia - 08.00 MSK, Friday 15th Feb
Australia - 13.00 AWST, Friday 15th Feb
New Zealand - 18.00 NZDT, Friday 15th Feb
While there's been a considerable amount of controversy surrounding the release of Metro Exodus, it is worth keeping in mind that the game itself is, in the end, likely unaffected by the platform it's coming out on. That said, the game will be coming out on Steam proper exactly one year from tomorrow, so jot that down, in case you're interested.
