Despite its niche appeal, Microsoft Flight Simulator was one of last year’s standout titles. A wealth of plane models and locations you could fly between alongside its impressive live weather make its flight well worth experiencing. Simultaneously, it’s no stranger to complexity, which is why players that remain on the fence may want to know if the title is available on Xbox Game Pass or its PC counterpart in 2021.
Microsoft’s intention to bring its major titles to Xbox Game Pass is well known. It’s also partly the reason for its impressive lineup of games that keeps drawing in more and more users. Let’s see where Microsoft Flight Simulator fits in this puzzle.
The title first launched on PC last year, receiving several post-launch updates and multiple content packs that beef up its gameplay. After almost a year-long wait, the game has now also launched on Xbox Series X/S paired with good news for Game Pass subscribers.
As of July 27, 2021, Microsoft Flight Simulator is available on both Xbox Game Pass and its PC counterpart. If you’ve yet to check out the title, you now have a more accessible way of trying it out before potentially committing to a full purchase.Naturally, you can also skip that step as long as you remain an active subscriber.
This is yet another sign that interesting times wait ahead for Game Pass users and Microsoft fans alike. Not only will the company push for more of its major releases to be available on the subscription service day one, but we may also see more games featuring support for user-generated content.
