Monster Hunter: World has shipped 13 million copies worldwide, publisher Capcom announced today, setting a new record for the long-running series. The amount includes both physical and digital sales.
To mark the occasion, Monster Hunter: World players will all receive the Celebration Item Pack, which adds a number of handy items for dealing with the game’s massive beasts.
Monster Hunter: World 13 Million Copies Shipped
Players can claim the Monster Hunter: World Celebration Item Pack only once when also getting their log in bonus. The pack will be available from July 25 to August 29. On PC, claiming the log in bonus is done by pressing Space once the pop-up appears shortly after entering an online session. Here’s what the pack contains:
- Attack Jewel x 1
- Silver Egg x 13
- Appreciation Ticket x 13
- Gold Wyverian Print x 3
- Heavy Armor Sphere x 3 </ul>
Starting on July 26, Monster Hunter: World players will be treated to five full weeks of Astera Fests. Each fest lasts one week, bringing back almost all of the game's event quests. This gives players the opportunity to get any special equipment and materials they might have missed out on so far.
Aside from shipping 13 million copies, Monster Hunter: World is also gearing up for its first and only expansion, Iceborne, scheduled to launch on September 6 on consoles and later in Winter on PC.
