When you first step foot in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord’s Calradia, you’ve little to your name. But while you may end up spending quite a bit of time with only a handful of men by your side, sooner or later the path to becoming a king will open up.
To make sure you get your own spot at the big boys’ table, here’s how to become a king in Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord.
Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord How to Become King
Before you can become a king in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, you first need to progress a bit through the title’s main quest. For starters, you’ll need to find the 10 nobles required for Neretzes’ Folly quest.
Afterward, you’ll have to piece together the Dragon Banner and pledge your support to either the Empire or one of Calradia’s non-Imperial factions.
After choosing your side, you’ll get a quest tasking you with creating your own factions. Completing it is what you need to do in order to become king in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord.
Its objectives involve reaching clan tier 3, leading at least 100 troops, being an independent clan and owning a settlement.
After you complete the above objectives, you’ll have to head back to the quest giver – Istiana or Arzagos –, select the “About creating my own faction..” dialogue option, then inform them that you’ve done all that was required.
That’s all you need to do in order to become a king in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. At the moment, we’re not sure if you can end up on the throne of an existing faction. If you’ve found a way, feel free to drop a comment below.
