Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden’s cast of characters is nothing if not unusual. Leading the post-apocalyptic adventure are Bormin the boar and Dux the duck, the latter being able to spontaneously sprout wings in order to gain a tactical advantage. It won’t be just the two of them, it seems, as publisher Funcom has revealed that fur-clad mutant fox Farrow will also be joining the party.
“Farrow is one of the recruitable characters you will encounter during your expeditions in The Zone. When you find her, you may notice that she is not quite from around here. Her true origins are a mystery – even to her. All she knows is her name is Farrow and she is a product of the Zone. Specializing in stealth and assassination, Farrow comes equipped with skills and gear that make her adept at quickly and quietly dispatching her foes.”, the press release reads.
Her signature ability, Silent Assassin, makes her very potent at initiating combat out of stealth and dealing with pesky stragglers.
To those unaware, Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden mixes XCOM-style tactical battles with real-time stealth and exploration. This means that players can more freely move around and position their party prior to initiating fights. The title is based on Swedish pen-and-paper RPG Mutant and developed by The Bearded Ladies, a team of former Hitman and Payday lead developers.
Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden is scheduled to release next week on December 4 on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Watch Farrow make her entrance below.
