Ancient Frontier is not done just yet, according to developers. Their latest update for their space-themed turn-based, Patch 1.14 comes not only with a number of fixes and additional polish, but also with actual content upgrades.
Said content includes a new space vessel class, and brand new themed missions which will automatically integrate into the Ancient Frontier base game.
The Manticore ship is quite a death machine. Featuring twin Coil Cannons, a Drive Harpoon, and quadruple Shredder Cannons, this combat-class vessel is extremely capable in duels with other capital ships, but it also comes with additional anti-fighter capability, in that it comes with a pair of hanger bays and eight pulse laser turrets to boot. Manticores are rare, yes, but they sure do pack a punch.
There is a total of four new optional Bounty missions included as well, all of them available through the Alliance campaign, and will oftentimes feature the Outrigger faction (ergo, the Manticore, since they've designed the thing).
Ancient Frontier is now available via Steam for €22,99, but the developers have also announced their next project, a standalone expansion for Ancient Frontiers: Steel Shadows, so be on the lookout for more info if you're interested.
