Publisher Koei Tecmo has announced that its souls-like title Nioh has surpassed 2.5 million sales worldwide, almost two years after originally launching on the PS4 in February 2017.
On top of that, it reiterated in the same tweet that developer Team Ninja “is working hard on Nioh 2”, which was originally teased back at at E3 2018.
When is Nioh 2 going to be released?
</center>Since Nioh 2 was teased back during Sony's conference at E3 2018, both publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja have kept relatively silent on the matter.
While no official release date was given thus far, there's a chance of seeing Nioh 2 release at some point during 2019. Given how the title was teased during Sony's conference, it's safe to assume that it's being developed for the PS4. Whether the PC will receive Nioh 2 at the same time as the PS4, later, or not at all, remains to be seen.
Nioh made its way to PC under the name Nioh: Complete Edition, some nine months after its PS4 release. Containing both the base game and its three expansions, we found it to be excellent in our Nioh: Complete Edition Review.
