The only way for you to join the game's closed beta testing phase is to pony up €49,99, as it turns out. Pre-purchasing Overkill's The Walking Dead on Steam will grant you intermittent access to the game's closed beta, depending on the times it goes live.
While pre-purchasing the base edition of Overkill's The Walking Dead will net you a single closed beta access key, going for the Deluxe Edition will grant you three additional keys to share with friends.

Players eager to try the game out will have three separate chances to do so! Overkill intend to stretch The Walking Dead's closed beta over three separate time slots, the first one having kicked off on 9th of October.

Players who decide to purchase the Deluxe Edition of Overkill's upcoming zombie shooter for €67,99 will get a whole bunch of additional goodies with their game, including the total of four closed beta access keys! Those who pre-order will get the full game, the Night Raid skin pack, a digital art book, and a copy of the game's soundtrack.
Overkill's The Walking Dead Preorder Bonus
All those who pre-order Overkill's The Walking Dead on PC - be it the base edition or Deluxe - will also receive the bonus OVERKILL cosmetic skin pack. Though we don't know what exactly this skin pack contains, it's there as a nice additional morsel for those who would've pre-ordered anyway.
