Publisher Slitherine and developer Flashback Games are gearing up for the launch of Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1939, the second DLC that their WWII strategy game is set to receive.
Having released last week for owners of the game’s Marshall Edition and going live later today for everyone else, Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1939 traces the Wermacht’s path through Europe after leaving the Spanish War behind them.
Whether you choose to import your core forces from the Spanish Civil War campaign or start with preset ones prepared for the second DLC, you’ll battle the likes of Czech, Polish and Danish opposition.
Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1939 Launch
Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1939 will feature both known and more obscure World War II battles spread across 15 scenarios that take you through the following locations:
- Czechoslovakia
- Sarreguemines
- Warndt Forest
- Orenthal
- Forbach
- Saarbrucken
- Battle of the Bzura
- Modlin
- Brest Litovsk
- L'vov
- Wlodawa
- Warsaw
- Raate Road
- Taipale
- Denmark
When you’re not ordering your troops in combat, you’ll also be tasked with placing mines or attempting to capture factories without incurring any casualties.
Completing bonus objectives alongside “achieving various degrees of victory” will grant you Commendation Points that can be used to secure stockpiles of captured enemy equipment or special prototype vehicles for your units, while also allowing you to get historical officers to join your forces.
Just like with its predecessor, Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1939 will allow you to save your core forces and use them in future DLC.
