Publisher Slitherine and developer Flashback Games have announced that strategy game Panzer Corps 2 has received a free multiplayer-focused update which introduces a number of new maps, including some based on chess.
Panzer Corps 2’s latest multiplayer update introduces three new chess maps that players across all storefronts can now try out.
“The main features of these maps are their small size and symmetrical force organization, allowing for fast-paced gameplay and excellent balance between both sides,” the publisher explains.
“With just 9x9 playable hexes, players can finish a game in one sitting, making it perfect for online Multiplayer mode.”
A Panzer Corps 2 Chess Maps Tournament is also scheduled to kick off on May 8. Anyone interested to participate can sign up on the publisher’s website.
Complementing them, no fewer than 12 classic multiplayer maps are also now available. Adapted from the 2021 World Championship tournament, they let us battle it out in the following locations:
- Poland North
- El Alamein
- Moscow
