Paradox Arc revealed three new projects today, as part of March’s announcement show, in the shape of mech autobattler Mechabellum, turn-based RPG adventure sequel Knights of Pen & Paper 3, and Across the Obelisk: The Wolf Wars, the publisher’s first-ever expansion.
The publishing label was set up in 2022 by Paradox Interactive and focuses on smaller, more replayable games. All three newly-announced Paradox Arc projects are set to become available over the course of the following few months.
Developed by Game River, Mechabellum puts you in control of massive customizable mech armies that you use in PvP battles against other players or the AI.
Each mech, from the nimble Wasp light aircraft to the massive Vulcan, comes with its own strengths and weaknesses that you need to be aware of. Customization extends to their abilities, which can turn the tide of battles.
Anticipating your opponent’s moves and countering them through the right unit combination is equally important. Mechabellum enters Steam Early Access on May 11, 2023.
Across the Obelisk: The Wolf Wars is the first expansion published under the Paradox Arc label.
With it, developer Dreamsite Games introduces a new independent zone that depicts a past version of
Senenthia to the cooperative RPG deckbuilding roguelite.
Taking part in and completing the Wolf Wars story rewards you with Yogger as a new playable character alongside new wolf cub pet Wolfy.
In addition, the expansion also adds five new skins and events when it launches on March 30, 2023.
Lastly, Knights of Pen & Paper 3 offers a dose of turn-based RPG adventure infused with lots pop culture references and humor.
Developer Kyy Games promises an upgraded character creation system as well as prestige classes that combine the abilities of two basic classes while adding their own unique ones into the mix.
The third game’s new skill system unlocks all skills automatically, giving them scaling effects based on character stats.
The resources you obtain can be spent to upgrade different village buildings and, perhaps more importantly, everything looks shinier than before.
Knights of Pen & Paper 3 becomes available on PC tomorrow, March 7, 2023.
