Path of Exile is a free-to-play hack 'n' slash that's very much near-and-dear to any fan of old Diablo games that's not very keen any other contemporary ARPG click-fest. Its sole monetisation method being premium cosmetics, Path of Exile offers various Supporter Packs for purchase.
Path of Exile Supporter Packs are packs of various premium additions, cosmetics, and other assorted goodies available to players of POE, and they don't come all that cheaply, all things considered.
Path of Exile Supporter Packs - Should I Buy Them?
POE Supporter Packs come in two essential types: first are the seasonal supporter packs, which rotate as new (free) expansion packs are released, while the others are so-called core supporter packs, which are a mainstay in Path of Exile's monetisation scheme.
Seasonal supporter packs come in two tiers: $30 and $60, each of which offers a varying amount of in-game currency and additional cosmetics to outfit your character(s) with. Worth noting is that cosmetic effects can always be reclaimed from the item you equip them on, and that they have an unlimited number of uses.
Core supporter packs start off at $60 and go all the way to a staggering $480, and the final tier offers a truly incredible amount of goodies, including all the stuff from lower-tier packs, a hoodie, a t-shirt, and a signed art-pack. A solid enough deal, if you're a super-fan of the game!
That said, if you'd prefer a more reasonable purchase, we'd suggest going with the First Blood Starter Pack for $20, which will net you an additional stash tab, a snazzy weapon effect, and 200 Points to spend on cosmetics. Is purchasing any of these necessary, though? Absolutely not. You can enjoy POE without spending a dime, though an extra stash tab certainly would come in handy if you intend on spending a significant amount of time playing.
