When is Pax Dei going to be released into early access? Mainframe Industries is preparing to launch its social sandbox MMO Pax Dei into early access today. Inspired by medieval mythology, Pax Dei seeks to deliver an MMO that harkens back to the genre’s roots, using Unreal Engine 5.
It’s one of the most wishlisted games on Steam, and over 100,000 players recently took part in alpha tests to provide feedback for the early access launch. It’s only available on PC, there are no console versions planned.
When is Pax Dei going to be released into early access?
Pax Dei will enter Early Access today on Steam. The early access period will last a year, and Mainframe Industries warns that major updates will require it to “wipe the game and start over”.
“Pax Dei is still heavily in development and not yet feature-complete. We expect all aspects of the game will require balancing and polish. Throughout Early Access, we plan to expand the game in terms of content and systems. Major updates will require us to wipe the game and start over. Pax Dei’s Early Access is scheduled to last until at least June 2025, possibly longer.”
The 2024 - 2025 Roadmap should be published shortly after the early access release.
For this launch, the world size has been doubled, offering players over twenty valleys to explore covering 300km². Whether you want to design a village or a fortress, you’ll find plenty of space and choice to create your dream home.
