Payday 3 sees the series’ hardened criminals setting their sights on New York, and its 2023-2024 roadmap aims to keep heists interesting for at least one whole year. Revealed ahead of launch, Year 1 – titled The Bad Apple – is set to periodically introduce a host of new content to the first-person shooter.
Payday 3’s Year 1 roadmap promises new DLC as well as smaller but nonetheless important additions like weapons and cosmetic items that allow us to customize how we approach heists.
Payday 3 Roadmap 2023-2024
More specifically, Payday 3’s Year 1 roadmap promises four pieces of DLC. The first is expected to land fairly soon with the remaining three keeping us busy until fall 2024.
Unfortunately, the developer has only shared broad release windows and tentative names so far, which means that we’ll have to wait a bit longer before we learn what they specifically add.
- Payday 3 DLC 1: Syntax Error (Winter 2023)
- Payday 3 DLC 2: Boys in Blue (Spring 2024)
- Payday 3 DLC 3: The Land of the Free (Summer 2024)
- Payday 3 DLC 4: Fear and Greed (Fall 2024)
When first revealing Payday 3’s Year 1 roadmap, the developer has confirmed that it is also looking into giving us additional reasons to log in through seasonal events.
Additional playable characters, alongside new enemies, weapons, cosmetics, and other features are also being considered for Payday 3’s 2023-2024 roadmap.
New features and quality of life changes are also part of the developer’s plans, although we don’t have any specific details about them either.
Perhaps most notably, we might also see the title being upgraded to Unreal Engine 5 at some point in the coming 12 months, which should give the title a bump in terms of visual fidelity.
We expect to learn more about Payday 3’s 2023-2024 roadmap over the coming months. In the meantime, check out what we know about whether or not GeForce Now support is planned for launch.
