When going up against Phasmophobia’s ghosts, you’ll need all the help you can get. Knowing how to use the Sound Sensor and Infrared Sensor can make the difference between catching the ghost and getting killed.
Both the Sound Sensor and Infrared Sensor play a role in narrowing down and pinpointing the location of Phasmophobia’s ghosts.
You can stock up on both before the start of a mission. Holding them in your hand won’t do much, which is why you’ll need to place them on walls inside the game’s haunted locations.
Phasmophobia How to Use Sound and Infrared Sensor
Once placed on a wall, they will automatically start functioning. Phasmophobia Infrared Sensor detects the movement of both ghosts and players, lighting up when something passes in front of it.
Its radius isn’t all that large, but observing it can lead to spotting areas with high paranormal activity, often playing a major role in finding the ghost’s room. Just make sure you and your teammates don’t trigger it.
Phasmophobia’s Sound Sensor picks up sound in a much larger radius and can be monitored from inside the van, where it has an entire screen dedicated to it.
You can carry several with you and proper map coverage can make it relatively easy to uncover the room with the ghost and leave out those in which it’s not picking up any noise.
