After roughly a year spent in development the Pike and Shot II: Total War mod has finally received a playable multiplayer demo. Its developers aim to offer a realistic representation of XVII and early XVIII century Europe using Total War: Shogun 2 as a base.
The Pike and Shot II: Total War mod covers majors conflicts of the period, giving players the chance to experience the Thirty Years’ War, the War of the Grand Alliance, the Great Northern War, alongside other similar events.

Its multiplayer demo offers a first taste of what’s to come. The team behind the mod plans to have 29 playable factions, unique historical missions for each major faction, alongside a campaign mode that spans the globe.
Units, statistics, projectiles, and the morale system will be reworked in an effort to better reflect the different time period. Historically accurate diplomatic relations and battle formations are also part of the developer’s plans.
You can get a glimpse of how the mod plays on its YouTube channel and try it out for yourself by downloading it from ModDB.
