Planet Coaster 2 brought Frontier Developments’ park sim series back into the spotlight and, judging by its spring 2025 roadmap, the long-awaited sequel has no intention of giving up its place over the coming months.

As far as bringing back themes from the original title, the developer has confirmed that it “is something we’re actively looking into as part of these free content updates” and will reveal more in the future.
The first Frontier Unlocked livestream of 2025, scheduled for February 26 at 10 AM PST/6 PM GMT, will shed more light on what we can expect from updates 2 and 3.
It is worth keeping in mind that the initial list of features and additions was described as “non-exhaustive.” In addition, plans can change as development progresses, possibly altering the content of each free patch.
More details about the four updates that make up Planet Coaster 2’s spring 2025 roadmap will be shared over the coming weeks and months.
In our review, we found that the sequel “gets better the more time and thought you put into it” before awarding it a 7.5/10.
