PlanetSide Arena plans to kick things up a notch as it enters the Battle Royale, erm, battle, featuring matches where two teams of 250 players go against each other. The class-based sci-fi shooter has one of the highest player counts out there and, what’s even better, is that players will be able to do more than just infantry battles.
The combined arms nature of the fights that the series is known for is making its way into PlanetSide Arena as well, and we’ve compiled a list of the vehicles available in-game.
What Vehicles Will Be Featured in PlanetSide Arena?
Buggy

The first PlanetSide Arena gameplay trailer featured a number of vehicles and one of them was a buggy with a weapon mounted on top. The weapon is most likely there for peppering infantry with some manner of projectile or another, and our guess is that drivers will be able to have a buddy tagging along for flanking actions and the likes.
Flash

A light two-man ATV that’s also present in PlanetSide 2, it’s said to be “way grippier” and more proficient when it comes to climbing hills and using ramps to pull off tricks. With tons of people potentially watching you, it’s indeed hard to resist the temptation.
Jetpack

Although it’s not a vehicle in the traditional sense, the Jetpack does facilitate faster travelling over short distances, alongside giving players the power of temporary flight. Whether you do it for style points or getting to higher ground for better positioning, it’ll be there waiting for you to strap it to your back.
Tanks

Another PlanetSide 2 vehicle that’ll also be found in Arena is the tank. The ones in the title’s gameplay trailer resemble the New Conglomerate’s Vanguard, although the square barrels may suggest that it’s a new tank altogether. What’s certain is that its armor will be able to shrug a couple of hits from larger projectiles, while whatever comes out of that square barrel most likely has a knack for making things go boom.
Tempest

According to the PlanetSide Arena developers, the Tempest “maintains momentum over the outskirts of a battle very well”. It’s a jetbike that, by the looks of it, could be used by daring players for solo surgical strikes.
