Sony announced today that its next PlayStation State of Play will be broadcasted next week on the 24th May, confirming a start time of 1pm PT / 9pm BST.
The showcases, expected to run slightly longer than an hour, will feature PlayStation 5 and PSVR 2 games from “Top Studios around the world”.
“The show will run a bit over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world. Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators,” according to a statement from Sony.
It will be aired on both YouTube and Twitch.
While we refrain from speculating on the content to be presented at the State of Play, in other news this week Ed Boon, Co-Creator of Mortal Kombat, hinted at something exciting in his tweet earlier today saying, “this week should be fun”. This has sparked speculation about a potential unveiling of the Mortal Kombat reboot sometime this week.
