Publisher 101XP and developer Brezg Studio have announced that For the People, their political management sim/visual novel hybrid, has now launched on PC.
In For the People, you play the role of a mayor overseeing a communist factory town. Ever-busy, you’ll meet with both officials and regular people, listen to their requests and decide how to handle each situation.
You’ll have to learn to read the people you interact with, as your decisions will end up shaping their position in the city.
Political Management Sim For the People Launch
Although meeting with and listening to individuals plays a significant part in For the People, you’ll also need to organize your city’s resources to ensure proper response to the various emergencies you’ll have to deal with during your time as mayor.
These emergencies will also throw tough choices your way, like sacrificing a portion of the city’s poor population to develop medicine that could help more people in the long run.
Iron-1, like any city, has its dark side. When you catch wind of illicit activity taking place, you’ll be able to choose between using public institutions to bring them to justice or send in agents who, through subterfuge, will expose the people behind it.
For the People’s city officials will only share as much info as you need to know, however, various informants hide within the populace, waiting to provide a complete picture (or their version of it) in exchange for your trust.
You can grab For the People from Steam where it is currently discounted by 15% until August 20.
