Prey may have been released to raving reviews a while back, but that doesn't mean Arkane are done with the game - even following the release of Prey: Mooncrash, its major rogue-like expansion pack.
Keen readers will remember that Mooncrash was released out of the blue - almost immediately following its E3 announcement. Considering that, and the fact that a recent tweet has hinted at more interesting Prey stuff coming our way, we are excited for more information on Prey: Typhon Hunter.
Typhon Hunter is the title of the upcoming free multiplayer expansion for Prey, one that takes its cues from the likes of GMOD's Prop Hunt, and where one player will be the titular Typhon hunter, while the rest are Mimics hiding from them. Could the recent Tweet by Prey's official Twitter be related to this?
Alongside Typhon Hunter, word on the street is that Prey will also be getting an escape room sort of VR expansion - Prey: Transtar VR Escape Rooms where players make an attempt at getting out of highly-complex, highly-interactive locations in VR.
The spirits are high among the fans of Prey, who are expecting for Typhon Hunter and Transtar VR to drop before The Game Awards are wrapped up, similar as to how Mooncrashed made its way to the virtual storefronts. Is this what we're building up to? Definitely might be the case, but we'll see.
