project BLARI is an upcoming horror game from publisher and developer MaxEstLa that puts you in the shoes of a reporter who, during an investigation that’s “far too dangerous for him”, sets free a ruthless monster.
While its premise definitely sounds familiar, project BLARI stands out from the indie game crowd through the PS1-era graphics used to build its world.
The lo-fi aesthetic amplifies the threat of the unnatural foe hunting players, at least judging from the screenshots currently available.

“You have been following the activities of the Local Office of Tax Administration and Regulation for months, many soldiers in civilian clothes enter the building so as not to leave it for several days”, reads its Steam page.
“You receive a call from your source within BLARI, and it’s time to go and investigate on the spot: it’s a disaster. What you find there has nothing to do with taxes, the situation has changed and now you have to leave the building at all costs, avoiding being caught.”, it continues,
project BLARI’s gameplay will focus on moving without making much noise, avoiding traps and exploiting your opponents’ weak points. The one downside is that the project only has plans for supporting the French language at the time of writing.
project BLARI is headed to PC, via Steam, although doesn’t yet have a release date. If you’re unsure what game to play next, our list of the best indie games on PC features quite a few gems.
