Rainbow Six Siege’s Tachanka is finally getting his long-awaited rework as part of the first person shooter’s upcoming Year 5 of post-launch content.
Notorious for not quite fitting in with the rest of the Rainbow Six Siege roster, Tachanka’s rework brings significant changes that aim to enhance the character’s mobility while making him a viable pick.
Rainbow Six Siege Tachanka Rework Changes
The first change ushered in by the Tachanka rework sees his light machinegun becoming his primary weapon while also dropping its mount. The transition hasn’t affected the RP-46’s punch which remains a devastating weapon able to puncture walls.
To fill the void left by the RP-46’s move, the rework is giving Tachanka an incendiary grenade launcher as his new gadget.
The grenades fired from the incendiary launcher bounce when hitting walls and are perfect for blocking captures or access to areas of the map.
Ubisoft hasn’t provided a release date for Tachanka’s rework, but it will arrive during Rainbow Six Siege’s Year 5 which kicks off soon.
Year 5 will tackle things a bit differently throughout its four Seasons, featuring fewer new Operators as the focus shifts to existing content.
