What would happen if you combined folk tale characters with roguelike action-driven gameplay? You would get Ravenswatch, a game featuring heroes inspired by folk tales and legends with unique abilities. Players can choose anyone from the Three Little Pigs to The Snow Queen to set out to defeat nightmarish creatures that are corrupting the land.
With early access being available, the game is now getting more traction than ever, leading players to wonder about the future content of this game. Fortunately, the publisher of Ravenswatch, Nacon, has recently released a roadmap for the game, revealing some exciting new details about what is to come.
Ravenswatch 2023 Roadmap Revealed
The Ravenswatch roadmap was posted in the Steam Community, and it shows the game’s content plan throughout 2023. The roadmap reveals that the game will receive a new hero and a second chapter in 2023. Other updates include new character abilities, maps, quests, and more.
The game’s developer has yet to reveal much about the hero, but players can expect the new hero to be available during the spring update, according to the roadmap. Along with the new hero, the spring patch also brings additional ultimate abilities for all heroes, a new teleport system, and magical object icons, expanding the game’s exciting gameplay.
As for the summer update, players can expect the addition of Chapter 2: Storm Island, bringing in new maps, enemies, Master Nightmare, NPC, quests, and upgrades. More will come after that, such as the game’s third chapter and end-game gameplay, but these haven’t been specified yet in the roadmap.
Keep in mind that this roadmap is presented for the early access April 2023 plan, and it may change at any time due to various factors. In the meantime, players can play one of the six heroes already available in the early access. They are The Red Hood, The Pied Piper, The Snow Queen, Aladdin, and Melusine.
To keep players busy, the early access also features a Master Nightmare with more than 80 upgrades and 50 magical objects. The game also lets players choose from ten difficulties, making it suitable for anyone, whether a roguelike veteran or someone just getting into this kind of game for the first time.
While Ravenswatch currently has mixed reviews on Steam, it looks like the game will only get better with all the new content coming in. Players can look forward to a new hero, Chapter 2, and more updates in the coming months throughout 2023. If you’re looking for a deep, action-driven RPG, Ravenswatch is worth checking out.
