Trying to launch Red Dead Redemption 2 with mods results in the above notification. While mods not being supported doesn’t outright mean they don’t work, the possibility of getting banned from “online content” is worrying, given the vague nature of the term.
If it covers Red Dead Online, that’s completely understandable. If not, that could be a big issue for players eager to use mods. It’s worth noting that Red Dead Redemption 2 works in offline mode.
On top of it all, the creators of the Joker mod couldn’t provide installation instructions since the mod was released before the game launched. They will, supposedly, update the Nexus Mods page once they have the details.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has finally arrived on PC and, as everyone likely expected, mods for Rockstar Games’ expansive Wild West adventure have already started popping up.
If Arthur Morgan is a bit too vanilla an outlaw for your tastes, you’ll be happy to hear that there already is a Red Dead Redemption 2 mod that turns your character into The Joker.
Red Dead Redemption 2 The Joker Mod
The first mod that brings The Joker into Red Dead Redemption 2’s world isn’t a complete overhaul, retaining some of Arthur Morgan’s appearance.
More specifically, the mod re-textures Arthur Morgan’s face to resemble that of The Joker. While it does look a tad uncanny, it could easily become a go-to Red Dead Redemption 2 mod if the recent movie starring the famous Batman villain wasn’t enough for you.
You can download the Red Dead Redemption 2 The Joker mod from its Nexus Mods page.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available on PC, via the Rockstar Games Launcher and Epic Games Store, and scheduled to arrive on Steam next month.
