Remnant: From the Ashes Co-op
Remnant: From the Ashes’ co-op isn’t available right off the bat, requiring you to first complete its tutorial. While this asks for a bit of patience, the tutorial does teach you how to use your character while establishing some lore.
You’ll be able to make use of Remnant’s co-op as soon as you reach the first massive, red crystal. But how do you join your friends? Quite easily, it turns out.
You friend will first need to set up a multiplayer game by clicking the Play Game button in the menu. Underneath it, there are several options to choose from determining who has access to your game.
You can join your friends if they have a public game, however, it’s always better to host a friends-only game, as it makes using Remnant: From the Ashes’ co-op easier, due to how it restricts the access of anyone not on your friends list.
To join your friends in Remnant, click on Join Game, then click the first button at the top that reads Friends Games. Otherwise, you can choose from the plethora of Public Games available.
It’s worth keeping in mind that joining a game in progress will likely spawn you away from the fight, requiring the players already in the thick of it to reach a crystal before you can hop in.
You also needn’t worry about loot while playing Remnant: From the Ashes in co-op. It’s shared, meaning that everyone gets the items that one player picks up.
