Remnant: From the Ashes is filled with unnatural monstrosities that want to sign you up for a meeting with death. Luckily, you can counteract the damage you’ll inevitabily take with Dragon Hearts, but what are Dragon Hearts?
They’re items that can prolong the time spent alive in Remnant: From the Ashes. Here’s everything we know about Dragon Hearts in the co-op shooter.
Remnant From The Ashes Dragon Hearts
Dragon Hearts play an instrumental role in keeping your character alive in Remnant: From the Ashes. That’s because they fully replenish health and stamina but can also revive fallen allies. You’ll get your first Dragon Hearts for free from Reggie right after activating the Ward 13 reactor. But you don’t want to be stuck with those three charges forever.
In order to max out your Dragon Hearts in Remnant: From the Ashes, you’ll first have to progress through missions until you find the Root Mother in the church on Earth. Speak to her, return to Ward 13 and she should also be there. On top of that, she’ll now let you upgrade your Dragon Hearts so that you can carry more charges with you.
In order to max out your Dragon Hearts, you’ll need 1 Simulacrum and 10 Lumenite Crystals per upgrade. Given how you can hold a maximum of 10 Dragon Hearts and start with 3, that’s a total of 7 possible upgrades. All of them will set you back 7 Simulacra and 70 Lumenite Crystals.
Lumenite Crystals drop from several enemies in Remnant: From the Ashes and can also be looted from supply chests. They’re the type of material you’ll likely obtain enough of by simply playing. The Simulacrum is a different story. Not only is it a super rare material, but one can seemingly be found in each of the game’s worlds.
It might be worth looking in such places as Cutthroat Channel, Corsus - The Fetid Glade, and Yaesha - Scalding Glade. Depending on how close you are to a boss, it might be wise to make returning to Ward 13 and having Root Mother upgrade your Demon Hearts your first priority.
