Co-op shooter Remnant: From the Ashes is getting a new, free dungeon tomorrow, publisher Perfect World Entertainment announced today. Called Leto’s Lab, it will introduce new challenges, armor and a fair bit of lore to the title.
Leto’s Lab is a free dungeon that spawns dynamically on Earth. Players looking to brave it will also have to face a “unique puzzle”.

Leto's lab also introduces a new type of enemies called Splitters and a new boss called Riptide. Defeating the boss earns players a Displacement Crystal. The item can be turned in to McCabe at Ward 13, who will craft a Flicker Cloak mod using it.
There's also a new armor set, which used to belong to Leto himself, hidden somewhere in the dungeon. You'll likely need a keen eye to spot it, though.
"The head researcher, Leto Apostolakis, theorized the crystals could be used for something else - to bridge space-time for near instantaneous travel. He was the one to unlock the World Stone on Ward 16 allowing mankind to take their first fledgling trips to other worlds. Leto’s experiments quickly diverged from their initial goal as he started using the World Stones to fuel a series of dubious experiments. ", the announcement post says regarding the lore behind the free dungeon.
Remnant: From the Ashes is out now on PC, Xbox One and PS4. The title has recently received its adventure mode update.
