A new collection of Resident Evil 2 Remake mods lets those of us brave enough to explore the perils of Raccoon City as Doomgirl and Dead Space’s Isaac Clarke.
The two mods expand an already impressive collection of reskins that are often the closest thing we currently have to several dream crossovers between Resident Evil and various other popular IPs.
Resident Evil 2 Remake Doomgirl and Isaac Clarke Mods
Resident Evil 2 Remake’s Isaac Clarke mod replaces Leon’s DLC Arklay Sheriff costume with Isaac Clarke’s level 3 Engineer Suit, as seen in this year’s Dead Space Remake.
Aside from making Leon look more badass and armored than usual, it really sells the fantasy that Isaac has somehow made his way to Raccoon City, putting his Necromorph dismantling skills to good use. All that’s missing is the Plasma Cutter.
On the other side of things, Resident Evil 2 Remake’s Claire Doomgirl mod also does a pretty good job of bringing Claire Redfield one step closer to Doom’s demon-slaying protagonist.
Donning his armor, which replaces her Military DLC costume, the heroine looks twice as ready to kick zombie (and demon) butt.
As is the case with many other Resident Evil 2 Remake mods, installing the two highlighted above requires first getting Fluffy Manager 5000, a popular mod manager for Capcom’s titles.
If you’re looking to tweak your playthroughs further, you can also turn Mr X into a particularly popular Sith Lord or give Claire a complete makeover that turns her into Nier Automata’s 2B.
