The Resident Evil 3 Remake’s Exploration Mode mod removes two quality-of-life features from the survival horror title, encouraging players to more carefully study their surroundings.

Namely, we’re talking about the distant items and search complete indicators that Resident Evil 3 Remake uses by default.
With the Exploration Mode mod installed, the map is no longer red prior to finding all items in an area and blue after there’s nothing left to pick up.
Similarly, the button prompts that show interactable items in Resident Evil 3 Remake’s environments only trigger when right next to the items in question.
Resident Evil 3 Remake’s Exploration Mode mod not only makes for a more involved experience on the player’s part but can also help apply more pressure when you’re beset by zombies, running out of ammo or health and have to rely on sight alone to find consumables.
