The Resident Evil 4 Remake is set to release at the end of March, but players can already try out the game’s demo and practice their skills in the infamous village section. By default, the section is timed by the ringing of a bell, causing all Ganados to ignore the player and answer their master’s call. However, for players looking to test their endurance, the Church Bell No More mod is available.
The Church Bell No More mod for the RE4 Remake demo removes the time limit, allowing players to take on as many enemies as they wish and gain extra practice before the full game’s launch.

That’s also not the only thing it does, bringing with it a number of quality-of-life features that should make fighting Ganados a bit more fun.
Installing it also gives you options to disable chainsaw-wielding enemies from spawning alongside enabling or disabling certain events that can trigger at various points during Leon’s battle for survival.
Veering into cheat territory, you can also toggle infinite durability and infinite ammo, making for a less traditional but far more action-packed experience.
The Church Bell No More mod might not unlock new areas for the Resident Evil 4 Remake Demo, but it should fit like a glove if you’re not too keen on constantly restarting the section every 20 minutes or happen to be fond of survival modes in other games.
The game’s full version is slated to launch on March 24, so it should be more than enough to tide us over until then.
While you’re taking a break from methodically fending off Ganados, you may also want to learn whether or not Xbox Game Pass and GeForce Now support is planned for the full game alongside how powerful our PC specs will need to be in order to run it.
