Resident Evil 4 Remake has received its fair share of mods since launch, one of the latest seeing none other than Mario and Luigi taking the fight to the Ganados.
RE4 Remake’s Super Mario Bros mod makes yet another unlikely crossover happen, replacing Leon and Ashley with Nintendo’s famed Italian plumber duo.

Although it’s just a simple reskin, so we sadly won’t get to deliver Lord Saddler a comical death by jumping on his head, the two models used eerily fit the context of Leon’s mission.
Mario, which replaces the agent, has a slightly more determined look in his eye, while Luigi carries with him a stronger sense of wonder and a dash of added optimism.
The Super Mario Bros mod is also one way to see Mario wielding a shotgun and ruthlessly filling zombies with lead, which is something you can’t exactly get if you’re playing the games in which he’s actually a protagonist.
This mod is one in a growing string of community-made modifications that add new character skins and outfits to the survival horror game, some wackier than others.
