Return to Monkey Island is, without a doubt, one of 2022’s most anticipated adventure games and, if you’re keen on seeing what Guybrush Threepwood has been up to, chances are you might also want to know if there’s a chance to play the title through Xbox Game Pass or its PC counterpart at launch.
As is the case with other games, Return to Monkey Island launching on PC Game Pass would allow a broader audience to enjoy the series’ latest chapter without having to commit to a full purchase.
Return to Monkey Island Xbox Game Pass
When it comes to Return to Monkey Island arriving on Xbox Game Pass, things are pretty clear at the moment. You won’t find it there, because the game is initially only slated to launch on PC and Nintendo Switch.
Should it make its way to Xbox later down the line, this may, of course, change. For now, however, we’ll have to wait.
- Return to Monkey Island Xbox/PC Game Pass status: Unavailable at launch, may come later
Although the title will release on PC, a Return to Monkey Island PC Game Pass version hasn’t been discussed until now. This makes us believe it will also skip this version of Microsoft’s subscription service.
That being said, its library is refreshed regularly. If we won’t see Guybrush Threepwood sailing into its port in September 2022, that doesn’t mean it can’t happen at a later date.
We’ll keep an eye out and update this article as soon as we learn anything new about Return to Monkey Island making its way to PC Game Pass or its Xbox version.
For more on the game, here’s whether or not you can expect it to launch with GeForce Now support.
