Ring of Elysium is gearing up for its second competitive season with a serial killer community event, but it's worth noting that Tencent has something special in mind for round two of ROE's survival-driven PvP.
Ring of Elysium Season 2 is going to kick off with the release of a brand-new map - one that's quite a bit different from the snowy wastes and wintry forests we've come to know and love following the game's global Steam release.
ROE Season 2 map is going to be island-themed, and is a bit of a callback to one of the game's many beta testing phases, one of which included an early iteration of this particular level.
Ring of Elysium island map is, for sure, going to include at least some of the game's numerous weather effects, though it's not entirely clear whether we're supposed to expect something altogether new or perhaps stuff that's cobbled together from various pre-existing resources. Avalanches wouldn't make much sense, for reasons that should be obvious.
Developers have also mentioned that we ought to expect some exciting new vehicles making their way to the ROE Season 2 island map, though they've omitted specifics. Jet-skis and boats are an obvious inclusion, and considering the game's dabbling in extreme sports, perhaps water-skiing, too?
