Risk of Rain 2's huge pile of items might seem all funny and random at first, but there's no shortage of creepy and outright ominous loot to get a hold of as well. Happiest Mask is, appropriately enough, one such item.
Risk of Rain 2 Happiest Mask is a Rare drop that's actually a returning item from the first Risk of Rain, where it had a fairly similar effect on enemies: it resurrected them as ghosts that fight on your side. This has tremendous potential in practical gameplay, so it's no wonder that you might want to find it.
How to find the Happiest Mask in Risk of Rain 2?</h2>
While we're sorry to disappoint you, it just so happens that there's no sure-fire way to get a hold of the Happiest Mask. This Rare drop can only be found entirely at random, which means you shouldn't bank all your stats and other items on finding one at all. The item is considerably powerful, however. Even more so than it was in the game's predecessor.
Killing an enemy has a 10% chance to spawn a transparent ghost of that enemy to fight for the player. Ghosts deal 500% of the creature's damage, and last 30 seconds for each instance of the Happiest Mask that you have equipped. Each ghost's stats appear in the left part of the game's HUD, so you can quickly determine when they will expire.
Most importantly - even boss enemies can re-appear as ghosts, though you can't take them with you from one level or the other. Regardless, it shouldn't take long for you to rebuild your undead army of monstrosities once you really get going. Good luck finding a Happiest Mask, though!
