RoboCop: Rogue City, one of 2023’s biggest AA surprises, is returning in summer 2025 with a standalone, action-filled story expansion DLC titled Unfinished Business.
The announcement came via the Nacon Connect 2025 event, where an entirely in-game trailer with snippets of gameplay (you can watch it below) was shown. It’s got plot, bullets, blood, and even some very surprising flashbacks that longtime RoboCop fanatics will surely appreciate. Given how solid and refreshingly fun in an old-school way the base game turned out to be, we’re quite excited to return to Detroit this year.
When is RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business going to be released?
Nacon’s press release states the game captivated “over one million players,” which apparently was more than enough to fund a return to the universe before developer Teyon’s next full-size release. “To reach the top of Omni Tower, now overrun by elite mercenaries, players will have access to new weapons, brutal finish moves, and special missions.” The Dredd vibes are even more present this time around, it seems.
The big twist comes in the form of Alex Murphy-centric flashbacks that aim to explore his pre-experiment time crushing criminals as a regular cop. We were able to catch a glimpse of some familiar scenarios in the trailer that may directly tie into the original movie, but it appears we’ll be learning new things about his past, too.
As relentlessly fun in a very direct way as the base game was, its commitment to light RPG elements and character development was a highlight, so we’re quite interested in seeing how the whole is affected by this deep dive into Murphy’s past happening alongside a new mission.
RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business will bring the law to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S this summer, though a specific release date hasn’t been revealed yet.
