Publisher NACON – formerly known as Bigben Interactive – and co-developers Cyanide and Leikir Studio today unveiled turn-based rogue-like Rogue Lords as their next project.
Set “in a gloomy 17th Century New England where mortals and diabolical entities walk side by side”, Rogue Lords puts players in the role of the Devil who, after being defeated, seeks to regain his lost powers.
Rogue Lords Turn-Based Rogue-Like
In order to once again spread corruption across the world and take his rightful place as the top bad guy, the Devil enlists the aid of various Disciples of Evil, including the likes of Bloody Mary, Dracula, the White Lady and Baron Samedi.
“In Rogue Lords, the player explores a 3D map and chooses how they will sow chaos during numerous interactions with other characters. Players launch their chosen Disciples of Evil into challenging turn-based combat and use their skills to overcome adversaries in battles where defeat means Game Over, and the player loses all character progress and has to start a new story.”, reads a press release.
If the situation does, however, get dire, the Devil can make use of “special powers” to turn the tide and give his team another fighting chance.
Rogue Lords is slated to release at some point in Autumn and is coming to PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
