RuneScape is gearing up for its upcoming Double XP Live event, where the MMORPG is set to debut its Timer Pause feature.
RuneScape’s Timer Pause feature gives players more control over when they use their assigned 48-hours double XP bonus during the Double XP Live event.
Players can pause the timer at any point, however, after resuming, you will have to wait an hour before using it again. These pauses will persist through log-ins. That being said, you’ll be unable to access the feature if there’s less time in RuneScape’s Double XP Live event than on your timer.
RuneScape Double XP Live Timer Pause
You’ll be able to try out the Timer Pause feature once RuneScape next Double XP Live event starts on Friday, August 7 at 12 GMT.
Logging in after that time will automatically grant you 48 hours’ worth of Double XP that you can use to level most skills.
Players have no less than 10 days to use their bonus, until Monday, August 17 at 12 GMT. The timer automatically pauses upon logging out.
Sadly, Runescape’s Double XP Live event bonus will not apply to everything in the game, the following activities and items not being eligible to receive it:
- Archaeology
- Assist system
- XP lamps
- Tomes of experience
- Ectofuntus
- Cremation
- Dragon rider amulet
- Auto-sanctifiers
- Brawling gloves
- Player-owned house altars
- Wilderness Chaos altar
- Dungeoneering wildcards
- Sacred clay
- Urns
- Ancient effigies
XP rewards from handing in the following activities, points or tokens are also not part of the Double XP Live event:
- Quests
- Daily Challenges
- Jade Vine
- Strange and golden rocks
- Other Distractions & Diversions
- Harvesting animal produce from Player-Owned Farms
- Slayer point rewards
- Brimhaven Agility Arena tickets
- Dungeoneering tokens
Experience gained from the Invention skill is also set at +50% while disassembling and siphoning equipment will yield no bonuses.
While we wait for RuneScape’s Double XP Live event to debut its Timer Pause feature, check out the 3 August update patch notes.
