As Satisfactory continues its journey through early access, developer Coffee Stain Studios has shared the first details about update 6, its content, how it will be different from its peers, as well as its release date.
When its release date comes around, Satisfactory’s update 6 will focus on improving exploration through the introduction of a new biome, changes to the behaviour of creatures, and more.

The map’s northern section will be replaced with a biome called the Spire Coast, which is described as “a serene tropical coastal area, dominated by large spires that can create an interesting challenge for vertically aligned factory builders.”
The swamp’s plant life will also be overhauled, making it more noxious and unsettling.
Creatures will receive a reworked spawn system, behavior, and look, while combat mechanics and the in-game menu will also be improved.
At the same time, Satisfactory’s update 6 is smaller and expected to spend more time on the experimental branch, as the developer concentrates its efforts on reaching the game’s long-awaited 1.0 version.
Satisfactory’s Update 6 locked in its release date to June 14, when it became available on the experimental branch. It was later set to launch on the early access branch on September 20.
