Since its reveal all the way back in 2014, Scorn has evolved into a survival horror whose Gigeresque visuals set it apart from the rest of the pack. Despite the attention it drew, the promise of exploring its hellish biomechanical corridors proved quite elusive, as its release date kept being pushed back.
As the second half of 2022 rolls in, however, the title’s fleshy horrors are closer than ever. That’s why we’ve gathered everything we know about Scorn, including details about its release date, story, gameplay, and more, in this here article.
Scorn Release Date
Scorn’s release date is currently set to occur on October 14, 2022, when the game launches on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
Scorn Story
Scorn eschews the use of cutscenes, seeing players lost and isolated in the game’s living labyrinth. While the game’s exact plot remains a mystery that we’ll discover when its release date comes around, paying attention at the various environments you explore lets you gradually piece together their own story.
Scorn Gameplay
Scorn’s gameplay revolves around making sense of the labyrinth you find yourself in. Since it’s a survival horror, heavy emphasis is placed on atmosphere and exploration. You’ll also need to solve your fair share of puzzles if you plan on making it past the physical barriers you inevitably encounter.
Along the way, you’ll have to deal with the disgusting flesh beasts that inhabit the labyrinth. You will have access to guns, which are quite useful when it comes to dispatching the creatures, but they won’t be the focus of the game, acting as an extra means of getting around its interconnected world.
