Rogue-like space sim Shortest Trip to Earth how has a full release date. Publisher Iceberg Interactive has announced that the title will leave Steam Early Access later this month, on August 15.
Shortest Trip to Earth’s full release will be accompanied by an update that will introduce its final set of sectors alongside new weapons, ships and more.

“Releasing the full version of Shortest Trip is a dream come true, and I really hope the players will reap the benefits of the hard work and passion we have put into the game. The new easier game mode and features like crafting should make the game more enjoyable to players who prefer a less stressful experience”, Edvin Aedma, lead developer and CEO of developer Interactive Fate said.
Shortest Trip to Earth puts you in the role of a ship captain returning to Earth as an intergalactic war rages on. The title takes some cues from FTL, giving players a top-down view of the ship as they manage crew positions and resources.
You’ll be tasked with equipping your crew with proper weapons to fend off intruders, manning the right stations to destroy a plethora of enemy ships and upgrading your own ship as you jump from solar system to solar system.
Jumps will sometimes result in narrative events that present players with choices. While death is likely to happen often, Shortest Trip to Earth’s Fate Points system ensure that you can spend them to start each new run with a set of bonuses.
