It looks like we’re getting close to the almost mythical return of Silent Hill becoming reality as the Korean rating board has revealed a new entry for an unannounced Silent Hill game.
The game, titled Silent Hill: The Short Message appeared in the latest batch of ratings, and is published by UNIANA, who have plenty of history in publishing Konami games in Korea.

There has been many rumors about the revival of the beloved psychological horror series in the years since Konami had its infamous split with Hideo Kojima after the release of PT. With a name like The Short Message, it’s possible Konami is going to drink from the playable teaser well once more ahead of a full game reveal.
This latest sliver of news on Silent Hill comes after screenshots were allegedly leaked from a Silent Hill 2 remake, thought to be headed by Layers of Fear and Observer studio Bloober Team. There’s also reportedly a brand new Silent Hill game in development that will be set in Britain. The Short Message could be the tease for that game.
We will update this as more information appears. We reached out to Konami for comment, but the publisher refused to comment on the rating board listing.
