Skull and Bones has finally re-emerged, promising an open-world pirate adventure with survival elements that you can tackle alone or alongside other players, but does it support crossplay?
One of Ubisoft’s high-profile multi-platform releases, its latest gameplay trailer prompted questions from players curious if crossplay might be available at launch.
Cross-platform support would benefit anyone looking to team up with other players while sailing the high seas in Skull and Bones since it would mean that you aren’t limited to just playing with people on the same servers as your chosen platform.
Skull and Bones Crossplay
If you count among those who don’t envision themselves as lone wolf pirates, the good news is coming your way. Ubisoft has confirmed that crossplay will be supported as soon as Skull and Bones launches. It’s currently in Open Beta from the 8th Feb until the 11th Feb.
- Skull and Bones crossplay status: Available at launch
Skull and Bones’s cross-platform support extends to the game’s PC version on the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
Regardless of which version you purchase, you’ll be able to team up with friends and strangers on any of the other platforms on this list.
This should make the Indian Ocean considerably livelier and keep the promised host of PvP and PvE activities more interesting.
That’s what you need to know about the Skull and Bones crossplay feature. For even more on the game, here’s what we know about PC Game Pass support and a potential Steam release date.
