Slime Rancher 2 has introduced a whole host of new slimes for players to wrangle and ranch, adding even more variety to what was found in the award-winning original.
The new, cute and spooky Batty Slime is one of these, and in this guide, we’ll show you where to grab them and what they can be used for.
Slime Rancher 2 Batty Slime Locations
The first thing you’ll need to know about Batty Slimes is where to find them, and fortunately, they’re pretty common early on. Head over to Ember Valley after nightfall if you want to collect some for your pens.

Speaking of pens, make sure you upgrade wherever you put them with the Air Net, as these plucky little slimes will find their way over even double-stacked walls.
You can also upgrade the pen with a Solar Shield or place the pen itself inside the Conservatory caves. However, this isn’t essential as it would be for Phosphors, as Batty Slimes can survive in daylight, albeit with increased anger and activity.
But there’s still a good reason to keep them shaded, as they’ll eat more than regular slimes while in darkness. So, if you have the food to spare, they’re a great pick for getting a lot of Plorts quickly.
They survive on fruit, but as with most other slimes, you can Largo them by feeding them the Plorts of other types, giving you twice the output and letting them eat other foods.
